Scottish Stained Glass Community Involvement
Giving back to our community is integral to the culture at Scottish Stained Glass and we feel fortunate to be in a position to support a variety of local and national organizations. We proudly support:
As a response to their nephew’s diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy and the urgent need to fund research to find a cure, Gillian and Martin Faith introduced a golf tournament fundraiser to benefit CureSMA. This has been an annual event in the Denver area since 2003. Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a devastating genetic disease that affects motor nerve cells and takes away the ability to walk, eat, or breathe. It is the number one genetic cause of death in infants. The many thousands of dollars that Scottish has raised at this local event over the years has contributed to the discovery of the first-ever treatment for SMA, approved by the FDA in 2016. If you would like to learn about donating, sponsoring, or playing in our next tournament please contact Gillian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Project C.U.R.E. gathers unwanted medical supplies and equipment from around the United States and raises money to send them to third world countries in need. Martin Faith sold off part of his personal collection of restored antique stained glass and used the funds raised to pay the shipping costs on a container of medical supplies and equipment needed in under-served Belize, as part of the Project C.U.R.E. mission. If you are interested in viewing any of the remaining beautiful pieces for sale, please contact us for the continued support of Project C.U.R.E.
We frequently support numerous local charities and non-profit groups in Colorado and Texas. Our team has donated many gift certificates for our custom stained glass that have been auctioned at fundraising events. If you would like to learn more about any of the charities that we work with, or if you are part of a local charity and would like a certificate donation from Scottish, give us a call or send an email today, and one of our staff members will be happy to help!
